November grading results

I am pleased to announce that Heydon and Jack are our first Junior ranks to grade within the Launceston Aikido club. They both did well and passed their Rokkyu grade (white)
The Federation then had Zac, Matthew, Adrian, Frank and Alan present for gradings....all passed.

hi all, LAST night training for 2010 will be Wednesday 15th, the we will return to training on January , Monday 31st 2011

November GRADINGS

We had a first for the dojo today with two Junior gradings conducted by the Launceston Aikido Club. Hayden and Jack presented for their White Belt grades. They both did a good grading and were successful. I was very proud of both boys and presented them with their grading books and certificates.

Alan, Frank, Adrian ,Matthew and Zac all presented for Federation gradings and all successful.

I am very proud to see all achieve the next part and for the boys a start to their Aikido career

I have scheduled another Interclub Training day for
Sunday OCTOBER 17th at our dojo in Launceston.

I will be inviting Sensei Peter Kelly of the Yuishinkai Aikido club and some of his club members to join us for a training day.

estimated cost will be around $20 and lunch to be included

Training Saturday July 31st

Tim Waters is pleased to advise that with Sensei Bruce Stack and Sensei Peter Kelly of Aikido Yuishinkai, they confirmed their support for our get-together at Clarence on Sat. 31st. July, and everyone will be encouraged to attend. Takemusu-aiki wil be the theme for the training, as it is an important concept and leads into the three important training elements of kaeshi-waza, renraku-waza and randori.
there will be a $20 fee which includes catered lunch

March 2010 Seminar

We had two candidates attempt rank promotion, and three gradings presented. Jamie, Greg presented for technical examination and passed and to Sensei Mike's surprise his 4th Dan was proudly presented by Sensei Tim W.
Well done to all.

Unfortunately we didnt sell as many raffle tickets as hoped,I would like to thank Louise, Matthew and Adrian for suppling items for the raffle. Also a big thanks to Louise for selling the tickets for 5 hours during polling day at the club.
The raffle was drawn on the 31st under close watch, and the two winners are very happy. First prize of the hamper went to Mrs Scambler SR. and 2nd prize went to Vikki in the PCYC office.

We had a good days training on the Sunday,with weapons and new techniques.

Relay For Life

WE SURVIVED!!!!

24hours of walking and we survived the blisters,rain and lack of sleep.to raise funds for the Cancer Council's "Relay for Life"
A great effort by the team, with not too many aches and pains.
To the team, Matthew,Tony,Louise,Brad,Jamie,Zac,Frank,Oboi,Richard and Adrian+Oliver I thank you, I'm very proud.

It has been suggested that we have a training and social weekend at Swansea.
With beach training with a family style weekend.
We need to know who would be interested in supporting the weekend, so we can plan dates, accommodation and fishing rods and rakes.
